These jewelry boxes are not mass-produced and can be found in only a few places in the world. We consider ourselves quite lucky to have them in our store. They are made in a small Peruvian studio by one highly skilled artisan, who supplies a few high-end tourist shops with finely crafted works of art.

The carefully selected high quality hardwood is joined flawlessly and finished to a smooth, glossy shine. And not just on outside -- Every surface, the inside of the box and lid as well as the underside of the box have the same beautiful finish. This jewerly box will not wear easily or become loose at any point where it is joined. It is meant to be an heirloom that will last for generations.

Extreme care is taken in every detail of the hand tooled metalwork decoration on top of each box, and the designs on the tops vary widely. These are just three samples of gorgeous raised florals on textured backgrounds that we have chosen to represent hundreds of individual designs produced by this talented craftsperson.

Measurements: about 12"long, 2 3/4"wide, and 2"tall.
